In the modern era, Mass Communication and Journalism have emerged as a new discipline with challenges along with ample opportunities. Media is the fourth pillar of democracy, and the increasing media consciousness among people has ultimately promoted journalism as a better professional course with challenging opportunities. So with the mission of constructing a better information society, Institute of Media studies provides Master degree course in Journalism and Mass Communication. Master in Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) is a two-year full time post-graduate degree course. Graduates in any discipline are eligible to apply for admission. Selection for admission is made on the basis of performance in written test, group discussion and personal interview and career scores taken together.
